Shift Happens: A World in Transition
This presentation shows how volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity have combined to create a world in transition. This new context, much more a ‘new abnormal’ than a ‘new normal’, places new demands on how we think about basically everything. The presentation challenges us to rethink our mental models and the way we make sense of a rapidly shifting social, political, and technological landscape. The session will also provide some practical tips on how to navigate disruption and stay sane. Its core argument is simple but confronting: in this ‘new abnormal’ success will not be found in better technology but from a deeper understanding of what it means to be human.
